The 91 troopy has a different wheel than the 79 series. Here is what I have learned, the older wheels (75 series) are 6 hole and the newer 79 is 5 hole. #1 As the thread title says, how big a tyre size can i go with the standard alloy 16 inch rims on my ute? In the not too distant future i'll be fitting an OME suspension upgrade and want to put the biggest tyres on my rims because i'm not keen on upgrading them just yet. Also want the least hassles with wheel alignment and all that.

Hi Guys Im in the market for new wheels and tyres for my 79 series, ive decided to go with either a 15x10 -50 or 16x8 -44 offset steel rims on the back to correct the tracking issue as i cant afford the legal options at this stage. (Any advice here would be much appreciated) My question is 35's or 37's? I have a 4" inch lift and coiled rear coming in the next month or so.

I have a 2014 GXL single cab and am in NSW , I had to go to an 8 in wide rim to be road worthy to fit a 285 wide tyre , I fitted 16x8 ROH octagon rims and BFG Km2 285/75/16 tyres .The increase in tyre size diameter lifted the vehicle by 28 mm compared to the tyre size on the tyre placard on the door jamb so if I want a 50mm / 2 inch lift I need an engineers certificate as any increase in lift.
